God, Ferrante and Teicher (in this photo, they could be the godfathers of Viktor and Rolf) were everywhere in the 60s, a piano duo competing for listeners’ ears alongside the Beatles and the Supremes.  Elevator music, some might say, a sound so deeply embedded in the culture that that era’s hippies conceded they actually gave “long hair” music a good name.  Arthur Ferrante, at 86, lives on; his partner Lou Teicher passed this Sunday.  RIP.
